ITMSP file type
Package created for the iTunes Store; may store videos, music, a digital book, an application, or other content to be sold on iTunes; used by content providers for packaging iTunes submissions, which are first reviewed by Apple before releasing for sale on the iTunes Store.
ITMSP files are submitted for review using iTunes Producer (for multimedia and digital book content) or Application Loader (for applications). iTunes Producer is available as part of the iTunes Connect (iTC) Content Provider program, and Application Loader is included with the iTC Developer program.
An example program that creates ITMSP files is iBooks Author, a program used for publishing digital books for the Apple iBookstore. In this software, ITMSP files are published from book design documents (.IBA or .BOOK files).
