MPT file type
Microsoft Project, a project management software, creates MPT template files. These files include a pre-defined structure, which may include a project timeline, tasks, and financial info. For .MPP projects, starting points are MPT files.
It is easy to save templates in Microsoft Project by following some steps. First, while the project is open, click the Export option from the File menu, then choose Save Project as a File. From there, you select Project Template. The third and final step is to save it by clicking Save.
Creating a project using Microsoft Project is also straightforward. Choose the New option from the File menu. Select the required template either by an online search or from the ones you already have. Finally, click Create according to the template you selected.
