An MDB file is a database file created by Microsoft Access, a widely-used desktop relational database program. It contains the database structure (tables and fields) and database entries (table rows). MDB files may also store data entry forms, queries, stored procedures, reports, and database security settings.
Access offers visual tools for creating and populating databases. The software includes workflow tools for making online database-driven web applications that you can publish to an Office 365 site or Microsoft SharePoint server. Access is included with some Microsoft Office software packages, but it is only available for Windows. MDB files may also be imported by a variety of other programs, such as Mathematica and Visual Studio.
You can export MDB files to the .ACCDB file format by simply clicking , choosing the Access file type, and then clicking .
