System file used by GRUB (GRand Unified Bootloader), a multi-boot boot loader used for running multiple operating systems on the same computer; saved as the filename menu.lst and contains menu options for displaying the boot loader screen menu on system startup.
LST files specify properties such as the operating system names and hard drive partition for the operating system. They can also specify the default operating system and a timeout that selects the default if no input is specified.
