Description
Blizzard StarCraft is a science-fiction real-time strategy (RTS), game for Windows and OS X. It was released for Windows in 1998, Mac in 1999, and Nintendo 64 in 2000. The game spawned a sequel, StarCraft II.
The game revolves around three species, Protoss, Zerg, and Terran, fighting for dominance in a distant part of the galaxy. You can play the game in a single-player campaign or in multiplayer mode via Blizzard’s Battle.net Internet service. Gameplay involves harvesting minerals and gas, constructing buildings, and attacking opponents. You can also add maps, units, and missions to the game.
StarCraft has been described by many as one of the most influential RTS games ever created. It helped raise the bar for gaming and won countless gaming awards. Even though the game is now outdated, Blizzard StarCraft remains one of the most popular RTS games ever.
