Description

ChordWizard Songtrix is a program used to learn about and create music. It is available in bronze, silver, and gold editions, which are geared towards beginner, intermediate, and advanced users. Although the bronze edition is free, it does not have as many features as the gold and silver editions which must be purchased.

Songtrix provides tools that help you explore and understand the different aspects of musical songwriting, accompaniment, and improvisation. Songtrix uses its own format for songs, but can also import and export MIDI. It can also export to the WAVE format for CD burning and the MP3 format for sharing to portable MP3 players.

The application provides tabs that allow you to quickly navigate to several different features. You can switch between different views depending on whether you want to view your song in a series of "visual events" (or the traditional staff notation). There are tutorials that will help you learn the basics of music composition. You can also access the ChordWizard network, which lets you share your music with other users and download songs and styles created by professional musicians.

Songtrix is a compact and helpful program for learning and creating your own music. It features helpful tools and tutorials and an active user community. It does not have the advanced features of Adobe Audition or Avid Pro Tools .
