Description
Corel Quattro Pro, a spreadsheet program, is part of the WordPerfect Office suite. Quattro was the biggest competitor to Lotus 1-2-3 when it was released in 1988 for DOS. The name "Quattro" came from the Italian word for "4," implying that Quattro would surpass Lotus 1-2-3.
Quattro Pro looks, feels and performs very similar to Microsoft Excel. You can create formulas that will be used within cells by using the formula bar. There are also formatting options such as font, cell color, borders, and size. Quattro Pro is able to open many of the same formats as Excel.
Quattro Pro is similar to Excel and should not be used to help you decide between Microsoft Office or Corel WordPerfect Office. Your preference between Corel WordPerfect and Microsoft WordPerfect is the deciding factor between these two office productivity suites.
