Description

GDevelop is an open-source cross-platform application that allows you to create 2D games with no programming knowledge. You can create games for a variety of platforms such as Windows, OS X, Android, iOS, and the web. Florian Rival, the creator of the program, originally called it Game Develop. The name was later changed to GDevelop.

GDevelop allows you to build games using scenes, objects, and events. The program's scene editor enables you to visually edit your levels and supports multiple layers to create parallax effects. You can add different objects to your scene, such as text objects, animated sprites, custom shapes, shadows and dynamic lights, or 3D boxes, and then apply behaviors to them. GDevelop also offers events that allow you to define the conditions and actions for your sequences.

As you build your game you can preview your progress to experience gameplay. When you are finished with the creation process you can export it as a web, mobile, or native operating system game. GDevelop provides a wealth of resources to assist you in getting started and adapting to your environment.

GDevelop is a free tool designed for all types of users to create games for fun or for sale without any programming knowledge. The application is not designed for advanced programmers and should be used in conjunction with other professional game development tools. If you are looking for a game creation tool like Stencyl or Construct 2, GDevelop is a great option.
