Description
Free Pascal, also known as FPK Pascal is an open-source program that can be used to compile many Pascal dialects. The IDE can target a variety of multiprocessor architectures, such as Intel x86, AMD64/x86-64, PowerPC, and ARM, and operating systems, such as Windows, OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, and Nintendo Wii.
Free Pascal allows you to write, compile, and debug programs and is source compatible with Turbo Pascal (TP) and Delphi. The package comes with a Run-Time-Library (RTL) that provides basic programming functions and the Freepascal-Components-Library, which contains useful classes. Other features include overloading operators, global properties and overloading functions.
