Description
Inkscape is an open-source vector graphics editor. It can be used on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. It is used to create icons, logos, diagrams, illustrations, maps, web graphics, and more.
Inkscape is a layer-based editor similar to Adobe Illustrator. You can create and edit graphics with a variety of tools, including a drawing canvas. Inkscape tools include 3D shapes and freehand line drawing, calligraphic strokes and text objects. You can also create a path by nodes. Inkscape also offers a large selection of filters, such as bevels, ridges, blurs, overlays, textures, and bumps, that can alter the appearance of your objects.
Inkscape natively exports to the SVG format but also supports other graphics file formats such as WPG, PNG, JPEG, BMP, EPS, ICO, TIFF, and GIF. It can also read file formats that are used by CorelDRAW Graphics Suite and Adobe Illustrator.
