Interplay Descent 2

Description

Descent 2 is a first-person shooter game released in 1996 for MS-DOS, Mac OS, and the Acorn Archimedes platform. It was also released in 1997 for the Sony Playstation. Although the game and its prequel were originally released for older computer systems, they are both now available from Steam for computers running Windows XP or newer.

The game is similar to Descent. You take control of an outer spaceship. You must explore different levels and defeat enemies with many different weapons, collecting power-ups and finding new weapons along the way. Because you are in a spaceship you can travel in any 3D direction and experience gameplay with no gravity.

Descent 2 also has many different multiplayer modes that let you test your skills against other players. You can also play Anarchy mode, where you attempt to kill as many players as possible. You can also join up with friends in teamwork modes like Capture the Flag.

Descent 2 is a nostalgic action-packed adventure for those who love old-school first-person shooter games. You can play the original game on an emulator or old computer, or the Steam version on Windows.
