Steinberg SpectraLayers PRO is an advanced digital audio editor. It features an interface similar to an image editor that allows you to edit audio much like how you would edit an image. SpectraLayersPro was originally developed by Sony, and was then sold to MAGIX 2016 and then acquired by Steinberg in 2019.

SpectraLayers Pro allows you to work with individual sounds in an audio file. The application supports many audio formats including AAC and AIFF, Real Media MP3, FLAC, Wave and Ogg Vorbis. The program features a waveform display that shows color-coded project layer content, relative amplitudes, and selections. The application gives you the Selection, Lasso, Brush, Magic Wand, Frequency, and Harmonics tools to perform different types of edits. You can do detailed repairs such as decreasing noise and clutter, increasing clarity and editing audio on different layers and moving sounds around.

SpectraLayers PRO is designed for a variety users, including audio archivists, sound designers, and video producers.
