Description
Microsoft Visual Basic is an object oriented programming language and integrated development environment used to create programs for the Windows operating system. Visual Basic.NET has replaced it.
Visual Basic was the first computer development system to include both a language (language) and an integrated development environment. The IDE allows you to develop user interfaces with a simple drag and drop approach. Because it can quickly build prototypes of programs, it is a great tool for Rapid Application Development (RAD).
Because Visual Basic is no longer supported it is not a recommended development solution. If you liked the development environment and code of VB you might be interested at looking into Visual Basic .NET.
