Description

Microsoft Word for Android is an app used to create and edit Word documents. It is intended to complement the Word desktop version for Android smartphones and tablets.

The word processor supports the industry standard DOCX and DOC formats. The interface appears similar to the desktop version and gives you many of the same formatting capabilities of the desktop version which ensures that your document will appear the same regardless of the device you use to edit. You can insert text, images and tables into your document. You can also choose from a variety of templates to help you save time when working on-the-go.

Word for Android lets you access and share documents via email, OneDrive Google Drive and SharePoint. If you get tired of working on a document on your Android device, you can continue work on your computer as any edits made to your document are reflected across all your devices through OneDrive syncing.

Word for Android is primarily used by Word users who have an Office 365 subscription. This subscription is required to create or edit documents. You can still view documents without a subscription but much of the functionality is withheld. Microsoft Word for Android can be used to edit Word documents while on the go as long as you have an Office 365 subscription.
