Description
Progress Stylus Studio allows users to edit and convert XML documents using a variety tools and visual designers. It is only available for the Windows platform.
Stylus Studio comes with several XML editors with text, tree, and grid views that support code sensing, syntax coloring, schema driven autocomplete, and code folding. You can import XML data into the IDE from CSV, tab separated and EDI formats. There are also other data import and export utilities that support XML and RDBMS.
The IDE includes Java and HTML/XHTML tools that allow you to create XML-enabled Java apps and XML data driven websites. Other XML tools that come with the suite include an XML Schema editor, an XML pipeline designer, EDI tools, XPath Tools, a Document Type Definition editor, and XML Mapping tools.
Stylus Studio is a powerful suite of XML tools that can be used with XML XQuery and other XML technologies. The IDE offers many advanced features and format support that are geared towards experienced XML programmers. This may make it difficult for beginners. For novice users, editors such as Microsoft's XML Notepad may be a better choice. However, if you have the experience, Progress Stylus Studio is up to the task.
