Description
Nuance OmniPage Professional X is a professional document scanner that converts print documents into digital files. It was developed for Mac but has been discontinued. The Windows versions, OmniPage Standard or the more advanced OmniPage Ultimate are still available to purchase.
OmniPage Pro X employs optical character recognition ( OCR) technology to convert documents into electronic files that you can edit, search and share. You can convert scans to many formats, including , HTML and Corel WordPerfect. The application maintains page layouts and formats of documents and its recognition engine minimizes word errors for accurate conversion. You can even transfer paper spreadsheets and tables into spreadsheet and word processing programs while maintaining text alignment and cell styles.
OmniPage Pro X was a useful program for professional and home OS X users before being discontinued. It could convert physical documents into electronic copies and PDF files into other editable formats. Instead of Nuance OmniPage Pro X, OS X users should look to Adobe Acrobat.
